Required Prevention Education

All new first-year and transfer students are required to take online prevention education modules in alcohol awareness, sexual assault prevention, and hazing prevention. All new graduate students are required to take the online hazing prevention module.  

Instructions and timelines for the required coursework is emailed to applicable students via their RPI address by the Dean of Students. Students a provided with approximately one month to complete the courses once they open.  

Online Courses

This course is designed to help you make informed choices around alcohol. It includes personalized feedback, information on campus and federal policies, and resources for reducing harm including support for those who choose not to drink.

This course provides information on healthy relationships, consent, and campus resources. It also explains your rights and responsibilities under both federal and campus policies. You will be able to pick from one of two tracks, a general version and one that focuses on people who have experienced sexual assault and/or related trauma. 

Hazing can range from seemingly harmless traditions to dangerous and illegal activities. This course helps students recognize hazing behaviors, understand their risks, and learn how to prevent harm within their campus communities.
