Ryan Keytack serves as the Dean of Students and brings more than 20 years of experience in academic affairs, enrollment management, and student life. Prior to joining Rensselaer, he held the role of Assistant Vice President for Campus & Community Living & Learning at Union College.
Throughout his career, Ryan has focused on shaping inclusive residential experiences, supporting students through conduct processes, and developing student-centered advising models. He played a lead role in implementing a campus-wide residential curriculum and is committed to building strong, collaborative relationships across the campus community.

Aaron Youmans is the Associate Dean of Student Intervention and Support, bringing extensive experience in student crisis response, intervention strategies, and diversity education. He previously served in the Office of Student Living and Learning at Rensselaer.
In his current role, Aaron coordinates the student intervention network, oversees case management, and responds to concerns submitted through the university’s centralized reporting system. He leads the Bias Assessment and Response Team (BART), serves as a judicial hearing officer, and contributes to student support initiatives.

Erica Hoerz is the Director of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct. She brings more than a decade of experience in higher education, most recently serving as Director of Student Conduct and Title IX Coordinator at SUNY Cobleskill.
Erica is dedicated to creating a community rooted in fairness, accountability, and respect. She oversees the student conduct process and develops educational programs that promote ethical decision-making, global citizenship, and personal responsibility. Her work supports fostering a safe, inclusive, and developmentally supportive campus environment.

Kiersten Mauro serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the Dean of Students Office. She previously worked at SUNY Schenectady as a Student Success Coach for 3 years, where she supported dual-enrolled students in setting goals, building community, and engaging meaningfully with their academic experience.
Kiersten has a background in psychology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Community Psychology. She is passionate about creating welcoming environments where students feel supported and empowered.
