Introduction

The RPI Handbook of Student Rights & Responsibilities reflects the shared values and expectations of our campus community. It outlines both your rights and your responsibilities as a student, supporting an environment of respect, integrity, and academic success.

All students are expected to follow the policies in the Handbook, as well as other Institute rules and requirements. For those living in campus housing, compliance with these policies is also a condition of residence, in addition to the terms of your housing contract.

We encourage every student to become familiar with the Handbook and related Institute policies. The Handbook is reviewed at least once a year, and updates may occur as needed. Any changes will be communicated to the community, and the most current version will always be available to you. If there is ever a difference between what is summarized in the Handbook and the full Institute policy, the official policy will apply.

If you have questions about the Handbook or need clarification, please contact the Dean of Students Office for assistance.
