Your Voice & Actions Matter

Your Voice. Your Actions. Your Community.

At RPI, we believe that the free exchange of ideas is essential to learning, discovery, and civic engagement. Students have a long history of using their voices to raise awareness, advocate for change, support causes they care about, and contribute to meaningful dialogue within our community.

The Dean of Students Office is committed to supporting students who wish to engage in expression, advocacy, demonstrations, educational campaigns, and other forms of peaceful engagement. Whether you're organizing an event, hosting a speaker, planning a rally, distributing information, or bringing attention to an issue, we can help you navigate university policies, reserve space, connect with campus partners, and identify resources to support your efforts.

Our role is not to determine which viewpoints should be expressed, but to help students exercise their rights responsibly while maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. We believe that open dialogue, civil discourse, and active participation are important parts of the RPI experience.

If you're considering an activity, campaign, or event and aren't sure where to start, we encourage you to reach out. We are here to help students understand their options, navigate processes, and bring their ideas to life.

Your voice matters. Your actions matter. Together, we can foster a campus community where ideas can be shared, challenged, and explored with respect and purpose.
