Service & Leadership at Rensselaer
Rensselaer has a long and rich history of leadership and service in the community. In fact, it is not surprising that the traditions of leadership, service and excellence are the fundamental markers driving the Rensselaer Plan.
The Dean of Students Office advises a number of student leadership groups including the Community Advocates, the Community Service Committee, Panhel, the Interfraternity Council, the OMSA Leaders Council and the Judicial Board. It coordinates community service activites for the campus, advising individuals as well as student groups on the opportunities available to them for service in the community, and tracking service activities over time. In addition, the Dean of Students Office celebrates student academic accomplishments and honors.
