The Quiet Crisis
Rensselaer Pipeline & Partnerships
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is committed to do its part to ameliorate the workforce conditions leading to what its president calls The Quiet Crisis
Rensselaer President, Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson, is concerned about the decrease in the number of students interested in the STEM professions, and the apparent, imminent shortfall of qualified scientists and engineers available to replace the aging workforce. Through its pre-college pipeline intiatives and partnerships, Rensselaer is committed to educating the next generation of leaders in the engineering, scientific and technological enterprise.
