5K Run/Walk for the Schoharie Free Library, 2012

RPI Relief: Hurricane Irene

Schoharie County School Teachers are hosting a 5K Run Walk in support of the Schoharie Free Library, which was heavily damaged by the floods of Tropical Storm Irene. The event will occur this Saturday, April 28, and the race course is all through the town of Schoharie.

RPI Relief is supporting this initiative by providing transportation and paying the $20 (day-of-race) registration fee for all interested Rensselaer Community runners. The bus will depart from the Union Horseshoe at 8 a.m., and will return by 12:30 p.m. All participants will receive an RPI Relief t-shirt. Anyone who wants to take advantage of this great opportunity to support the town of Schoharie's Library, should (1) contact the Dean of Students Office and (2) complete the Registration Form and bring it on Saturday morning.

ALSO - several of the runners are collecting pledges in support of the library, and DOSO is also collecting gently used books to donate. If you would like more information on how to support these causes, please contact the Dean of Students Office, before close of business 4/27/12.
