The United Nations International Day of Peace is on Tuesday, September 21 this year. As part of the activities, RPI’s Community Advocates are participating with other local colleges and organizations in “Troy Celebrates a City of Peace.”
From September 11 through September 21, the Rensselaer Community will have the opportunity to respond to the question “How Can I/We Make Peace?” on the banner installed on the CII construction fence facing the footbridge.
On the International Day of Peace – September 21 - the Rensselaer Community is invited downtown to attend the Peace Walk, starting in Sage Park, from 7-8 p.m. The Community Advocates will be taking the banner to read some of the responses, and listen to how others in Troy believe we can make peace. The Peace Walk will be led by Jun Yasuda, the Buddist Nun from the Grafton Peace Pagoda.
